Is world fianancialy group a scam?

My girlfriends mom (whos a *****) is trying to become a member of world financial group insurance person. She tried to get me to join then to get into a 10 year insurance plan, is this a scam or real? I want to know so i can laff in her face when she finds out shes been wastening my time since shes made my life hell
